Retaking the Exam
For the test(s) not passed, the candidate may reapply to retake the test(s) on a subsequent regular or supplemental testing date.
Registering to Retake Tests or Subtests
- You must wait 31 calendar days before retaking a failed test; otherwise, your second score will be invalidated.
- Registering to retake a test requires the same procedures used for first-time registration.
- For the FELE and the General Knowledge Test, you need to retake only the subtests that you did not pass.
- German K–12 and Speech 6–12 have two sections; you need to retake only the section that you did not pass.
- For any other tests that you do not pass, you must retake the entire test.
- No extra testing time is given to examinees who are retaking a test or subtest.
