Exam Dates

The SPEX is administered through the Thompson Prometric Testing Centers (formerly known as Sylvan Technologies) network of more than 300 testing centers. Centers are located throughout the , , Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Testing centers can be located on Prometric’s website at www.prometric.com. Registered applicants for the SPEX will be provided with a toll-free number and instructions for scheduling at a location of their choice. Applicants will have 90 days in which to take the examination.

A specific eligibility deadline date will be provided to each registered applicant. Applicants who do not take the examination by the eligibility deadline date are no longer eligible and must submit a new application, including the full fee and any supporting documentation.
