West-B is the basic skills test used throughout the state of Washington, provides you with everything you need to pass your state's exam in an easy-to-understand, self-paced learning place.
The Washington Educator Skills Test—Basic (WEST–B) is criterion referenced and objective based. A criterion-referenced test is designed to measure a candidate’s knowledge and skills in relation to an established standard, rather than in relation to the performance of other candidates.
The explicit purpose of the WEST–B is to help identify those candidates with the required level of basic skills to perform successfully in an educator preparation program or as a teacher in a public school classroom.
