Test-Taking Tips

PLAB test is the test of commonsense. It is important to judge what are they expecting from you, than knowing the right answer.

Points to remember or things to do.

  • Be positive, think that you have to score only around 55% to pass (till now cut off mark was around 50% and result of October PLAB is near to 60 %
  • Divide the time efficiently, there are many ways to solve the paper, opt the method, which suits you.
  • Think at the SHO level. Think that you are doing the basic investigation or basic management, which is expected, from you.
  • Usually PLAB questions are straightforward; don't think of a trap, which is NOT there.
  • Think in a simple, straightforward way.
  • Think of common Diagnosis first.
 
  • Think of a right approved management first.
  • Safety towards patient is absolute requirement.
  • Think of a suitable, appropriate and diagnostic investigation first. (Need not be an economical or basic investigation).
